Hai Job is a Chrome browser extension designed to help job seekers track and organize job application information from popular job platforms including LinkedIn, Indeed, and Canada's Job Bank. This Privacy Policy explains how Hai Job handles your data.
2. Data We Access Local Only
When you use Hai Job on a supported job listing page, the extension reads the following information from the currently active browser tab:
- Job title, company name, and job location
- Job description and requirements text
- Application status that you manually set
- Notes and custom labels that you enter
This data is parsed locally within your browser. It is never sent to any external server.
3. Local Storage Usage
Hai Job uses the Chrome Storage API (chrome.storage.local) to save your
job tracking records locally on your device. This storage:
- Exists only on your local device within your Chrome profile.
- Is never synced to Google's servers or any third-party service.
- Can be cleared at any time by removing the extension.
4. Website Permissions
Hai Job requests access to the following websites solely to parse job listing data for your personal tracking:
- linkedin.com – To extract job descriptions from LinkedIn job pages.
- indeed.com / ca.indeed.com – To extract job listings from Indeed (Canada & Global).
- jobbank.gc.ca – To extract job listings from the Government of Canada Job Bank.
The extension does not read your private messages, profile data, login credentials, or any information outside of public job listing pages.
5. Data Sharing
We do not:
- Sell, rent, or trade your data to any third party.
- Upload your job records or browsing history to any server.
- Use analytics, tracking pixels, or fingerprinting technologies.
- Display advertisements.
6. Children's Privacy
Hai Job is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.
